2. Data we may process

Contact form data

If you contact us through the website, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, subject, and message, in order to receive and respond to your inquiry. We also use anti-spam checks for the contact form, including Google reCAPTCHA where enabled.

Browser storage and local identifiers

The website uses browser storage for certain functions. This includes, for example, locally stored sound battle vote selections and a locally stored visitor token used to help operate the voting feature, temporary session-based caching for selected video data, and persistent admin session handling for authorized administrative access. Touristenfahrt stores the selected callsign, personal best lap data, and a random play-session identifier locally so the game can resume a valid play session and show your personal best. These entries remain on your device until replaced, expired, or cleared by you or your browser.

Touristenfahrt leaderboard data

When you submit a lap in Touristenfahrt, we process the callsign you enter, the selected car and track, lap time, collision and off-track counters, the time of submission, and, where supplied by the hosting platform, a two-letter country code. A callsign can be personal data if it identifies you. Please use a pseudonymous callsign and do not enter personal information about yourself or others.

Technical and usage-related data

When the website or embedded third-party services are loaded, technical data may be processed by us or our service providers. This can include IP address, browser and device information, request metadata, referrer information, and interaction data needed to display content, secure the service, prevent abuse, or measure delivery.

Advertising and referral data

If advertising or referral features are enabled on a page, related providers may process identifiers, browser information, ad interaction data, and similar technical information. The website also records certain Amazon referral-link click events together with technical information such as the user agent string.

Admin authentication data

The public website does not provide general user accounts, but administrative login and session management for authorized users are handled through Supabase authentication services.

  • to support interactive features such as sound battle voting;
  • to run Touristenfahrt, operate its public leaderboard, enforce play-session limits, and protect it from abuse or leaderboard manipulation;
  • to secure the website, troubleshoot errors, and limit abuse;
  • to display embedded media, advertising, and referral content where used.

Depending on the context, processing may be based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary to handle a request initiated by you, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and monetizing the website, and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent is required under applicable law.

4. Service providers and recipients

We may share or make data available to service providers to the extent needed to operate the website and its features. These may include:

  • Supabase for hosting, database, edge functions, and admin authentication;
  • Resend for contact-form email delivery and confirmation emails;
  • YouTube or Google services for embedded media and related delivery;
  • Google reCAPTCHA for contact-form abuse prevention;
  • Google advertising services if ad placements are enabled;
  • Amazon or related destinations if referral links are used;
  • Instagram or related platforms when external social content is linked or loaded.

5. Cookies, browser storage, ads, and embedded content

This website may use browser storage technologies such as local storage and session storage for site functionality. In addition, third-party services loaded on the website, including embedded media or Google-served advertising, may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, or similar technologies and may process IP address and device information.

On the contact page, we may load Google reCAPTCHA to protect the form against automated spam and abuse. Google may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device data, interaction data, and the reCAPTCHA token generated for the protected action.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, to comply with legal obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Browser storage entries remain on your device until they expire, are replaced, or are cleared by you or your browser.

Touristenfahrt leaderboard entries are retained only while they qualify for a track's public top 10 or until they are removed for a legitimate reason, such as an abuse review or a substantiated rights request. Server-side play-session records are retained only as needed to apply monthly session limits, prevent abuse, and maintain operational reporting.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

To request removal of a Touristenfahrt leaderboard entry, email us with the callsign, track, and approximate lap time so we can identify the relevant entry.
